Overview of Your Tour
Day 1 - Siem Reap (D)
Get Acquainted with Siem Reap
Arrive in Siem Reap International Airport, where your local English speaking guide will meet you for the transfer to your hotel.
Siem Reap is the gateway to the Angkor ruins – a major tourist attraction in Cambodia and a significant insight into Cambodian culture. Your guide will collect you from your hotel at 2pm (or later by arrangement) for your Cambodia cultural experience.
Begin with a visit to Angkor National Museum for an hour’s walk around this interactive exploration into the history behind Angkor. Then continue to the Artisans’ D’Angkor Silk Farm for a tour to see how this amazing material is created all the way from silk production to weaving. Then visit the ‘old market’ to see the variety of stalls and products.
Afterwards there may be a little time for shopping before your Taste of Cambodia dinner at a very successful and popular restaurant. After your meal, you will go and enjoy the most spectacular show in Asia – Phare Circus. Not a traditional circus, Phare have given under-privileged children the opportunity to learn acrobats, dance and performance and now operate the most popular attraction in Siem Reap. Your ‘A-Reserve’ tickets will give you the best view in the house at this big top, one hour show.
Afterwards transfer back to your charming accommodation in the heart of town. 3 nights, boutique 4-star hotel – deluxe room.
Day 2 - Angkor Wat (B, L)
Today embark on a full-day best of Angkor tour to see the temple complexes.
Explore Angkor’s Ancient Temples
On your Amazing Angkor tour, you’ll discover the incredible array of temples, hidden among lush forests. Uncover the fascinating history behind the ruins of the largest pre-industrial city in the world. Once your guide collects you from your hotel, we’ll make our way to Angkor Thom, entering via the South Gate and the Bayon complex. The Bayon Temple (circa 1190) is a Buddhist temple but it retains elements of Hindu cosmology and imagery. Standing in the exact centre of the walled city, it represents the intersection of heaven and earth. It is known for its enigmatic smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara and its extraordinary bas-reliefs.
Then walk through the mystical jungle clad temple of Ta Prohm, overgrown from the jungle and offering a magical Instagram-moment.
Enjoy a break for lunch at a restaurant in a garden setting close to the temples. Then continue to visit Angkor Wat, the jewel in the crown of Angkor. Angkor Wat is the best-preserved example of Khmer architecture in Cambodia and is so grand in design that some rank it among the seven wonders of the world. This impressive temple is the gem of Angkor and a fascinating insight into Cambodian culture.
Day 3 - Siem Reap (B)
Today is yours at leisure, with your own complimentary tuk-tuk transport available. We have included a Tuk-Tuk, a fun and popular transport for you to get you around town. You may like to head out to explore the temples some more, visit the many art & craft workshops and boutique shops, take in a cooking class, visit the museum or simply enjoy a relaxing lunch at the many wonderful restaurants around town.
Day 4 - Departure (B)
Spend the morning at your leisure before a transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your departing flight.
